For this week's Curiosity of the Day, I wanted to do something different, so I consulted the Chinese I-Ching (易經, YiJing, the Book of Changes) instead, to reflect what we need to know for the week to come. I-Ching Hexagram 16 is Yu (豫), in a glance it represents enthusiasm and a carefree life, however there're other messages hidden inside once we interpret each trigram separately.
Orange Egg Tart
I was enjoying a cup of tea when, I suddenly had a craving for something sweet, so I searched my kitchen pantries for a quick relief. Unfortunately, I only had some eggs, oranges and a bag of oatmeal. That's how these tart bites were born 🤣.

Curiosity of the Day: Get Grounded

Cheesy Cream Pu-erh Tea | Inspired by the Tibetan Butter Tea
There’s nothing like a hot cup of creamy milk tea to keep you cozy and warm on a rainy autumn day 🍂. Like the title suggests, this drink is inspired by the Tibetan Butter Tea (酥油茶).
Tarot Spread: Three Options
It's always good to have multiple options, or so we thought. Sometimes we find it rather difficult to make a choice, especially if it's something that has major impact on our lives. Although Tarot card isn't like a time machine that shows us what our future literally looks like, it gives great insights on the situations we find ourselves in. This Three Option Tarot Spread will do just that: to help shed some light on each option we have at hand.

Vegan Black Sesame Pecan Mooncake
The Mid-Autumn Day associates with harvest, unity, gratitude and release, for this special occasion, I've made a dozen mooncakes with crispy crust and a fragrant filling. You don't need any mooncake mould or lye water or golden syrup for this recipe, it takes approx. 1.5 hour to make, baking time included.
Curiosity of the Day: Have You Answered Your Deepest Calling?
The waxing moon period can sometimes be an uncomfortable time, as the initial excitement for our intentions and plans wears off and self-limiting beliefs start to surface. This card is calling us to bravely pave and walk the path.
Curiosity of the Day: King of Coins
The King of Coins, or the King of Pentacles, corresponds with the elements Fire (King) and Earth (Coins). It represents someone of exceptional self-control, who is resourceful, utilitarian and has more common sense than the most. It could also relate to the powerful Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo males in our lives. The suit of coins stands for the physical matters, money and talents.
