It certainly has been more than a minute since I last posted, and oh boy, have things changed for me in the past months 😂, but the good thing is, I can once again keep a nice record of my journey here.
The card of today is from the Bestiary oracle card deck by Maia Toll, the Andalusian Horse (transcend yourself).
The Andalusian, AKA the Pure Spanish Horse, has been recognised as a distinct breed since the 15th century, throughout its history, it has been known for its prowess as a war horse. But what we do not know, is that a horse not only can carry our bodies, it also transports our souls. Its gift is the freedom to transcend physical incarnation. Therefore whenever we see this card, it’s a sign that it is now time, to transcend our current ways of being.
Horse represents our inner strength and driving force in life. If you are not sure whether you can make it, call on your inner Andalusian Horse to carry you there. Feel free to express yourself, and be assertive.
In the book, Maia also included a meditation practice for an inner journey, which I find quite powerful:
Find a (shamanic journey) drumming track that you enjoy, sit or lie down comfortably. Set a guiding intention for this journey, such as: I wan to connect with my higher self or spirit animal or Source. Now close your eyes and think of a place in nature that’s comfortable and familiar. In your mind, create a door from that place into the Earth. Open this door and step through. Imagine yourself traveling through the heart of the Earth. Use all your senses to become aware of the dream space, be open to receive any messages that occur. When you’re ready to turn, or when you hear the “call back” sequence (usually that’s when the drumming rhythm speeds up), retrace your steps, coming back the same way you went in. Be sure to close the door behind you. Once you have returned, spend a few minutes noting down your experience when it’s still fresh, capturing details such as symbols, colors and archetypes.
