It feels like we were just celebrating NYE yesterday, how is it almost the third week of 2022 already?
Whether we are big on New Year’s Resolutions or not, I’m sure there are things we do want to change, patterns we want to break this year. Before starting any grand manifestation, it’s important to ensure that our first step is heading towards the right direction. And there is a Tarot trick for anyone who wants to find out, what they need to do next, to align with their life’s purposes.
Shuffle your deck just like you usually do and find the Ace of Wands. The card on top of it, is your main focus moving forward, and the card under it, is the first step you need to take.
Why the Ace of Wands? The suit of wands is always the first step in the act of creation. It’s the passion that ignites the spark of our ideas or intentions. Aces stand for new initiatives and new beginnings. The Ace of Wands is like our ultimate willpower guiding us on our journeys of pursuit.

I did this reading today for a friend Ines, and the cards we received are Queen of Cups (under) and The Magician (top). Let’s see what the messages are.
The Magician came up on top, which means for the upcoming period, Ines needs to focus on her own strengths and work her own magic.
Magic, the possibility of the impossible, is nothing more than becoming one with yourself, with God, with the world.
Dali himself poses as the magus here, with some of his famous works laid out on the table in front of him. We’re all artists, writers and magicians, we each have our own “tricks” up our sleeves. However the Magic here isn’t supernatural, it’s merely actively drawing on our special talents and qualities.
Ines mentioned the phrase “as above so below, as within so without”, it is exactly what magic is all about. A true magician takes what’s available to her/him and moulds it according to her/his desires. To tap into the creative mental power and to wield the intensity of concentration needed for omnipotent power, one must be strong in both spirituality and character. And in order to get strong(er), Ines needs to stay open, go beyond her current limitations and see her work in the bigger picture.
I believe this advice applies to all of us as well, we should use our imagination, creativity and (communication) skills for good, take command of our own life by making plans and determining our own rules. Make our own “magic potions” ⚗️.
As for the immediate next step Ines should to take, Queen of Cups has a clear answer. This card is governed by the Water element, it also portrays the perfect harmony of both the sensitive, emotional side and the reserve, tough side. Ines is advised to accept both qualities, the Yin and the Yang, and stop looking at things with one-sided perspective. She should trust her intuitions, be empathetic and at the same time, observe the emotions that arise.
She/he who masters her/his own emotions, masters the energies of any room.
Drink some chamomile or white tea, take walks along the river or lake, meditate near the water and open up your heart ❤️.
