Curiosity of the Day: Once Under The Blue Moon

By

Aside from a blue full moon in Aquarius this weekend, Uranus is also going into retrograde.

Uranus brings changes, not the gradual kind of changes but rather sudden, unpredictable changes. It also reveals truths, opens up the areas in our lives that have been neglected or ignored. This is a good time to review current opportunities and challenges in our lives, also a good time to break out of old patterns that are deep rooted in ourselves. If you have been wanting to do something different, i.e. switch jobs, relocate/move, quit a bad habit, etc., but are reluctant due to “realistic concerns”; take this as a dose of courage from the Universe. We are always free, free to start something new, free to choose. Don’t let the fear of unknown stop us from breaking free.

The full moon in Aquarius also tells us to take a leap of faith into the unknown, we don’t know what the future holds and we don’t need to know. When situations or environments change, we just need to go with it, the more we resist, the more unpleasant and exhausted we feel.

I take these messages and encouragement from the Universe very personal πŸ˜‚. I really needed them at the moment, in order to finally grow a pair and step into the unknown.

When you think about it, in a way, the ability to respond to uncertainties, is actually a sort of responsibility (Response Ability LOL). Most of us are afraid to make choices because the lack of this ability. We consult advisors, our partners, friends, parents and hope for them to make the choice for us, so when things go south, we have someone else to blame. We are not afraid of the change or uncertainty itself, we just fear for the outcome, we are scared that the outcome may not be in our favour. Instead, we choose to lay flat in our comfort zone, doing the same old things in the same old ways. The truth is, we will never reach a different destination by going on the same path, we will never truly be free unless we take responsibilities and take back the power over our own lives.

The card I draw today is Align Your Life. It essentially sends the same message: calling back our powers, protect our energies from the people/things that drain us, and focus on (re)aligning our lives.

Everything in nature is in constant state of evolution, what works today may not work tomorrow. Change is the only constance in life, when we resist change, we resist life. Ask yourself, what in your life is no longer in alignment with who you truly are?

We’ve learned to (appeal to) be the person, who, the world, the society, the family, even the peers want us to be, but there comes a time when it’s getting harder than ever to hold onto that facade. That time is now (at least for me it is). We are being called to let go of who we once (thought we) were and the things that we once or still define ourselves by – the job, the relationship, the status, the circumstances, and the masks we put on each day when we go outside.

It is time to reassess and bring all the parts of our lives into alignment, courageously step into the person that we come here to be, in full authenticity.

Embrace your uniqueness. Embrace who you truly are πŸŒ•.

  1. […] I drew this card once before, now as we’re approaching the Super New Moon and Chinese New Year, it’s time again, to review the old and start anew. […]
