The full moon in Scorpio calls us to go inward, to dive deep into our emotional self and the roots of that self. Tuning into the foundations of how we meet the world, acknowledging the part of ourselves we may sometimes avoid, releasing the stagnant energies to clear the way for something more meaningful.
My friend Alex wants to know how best he can harness this super full moon power. Since he wanted a “simple” answer, I did a quick inquiry reading for him, and the card we got, is Three of Cups in reverse. Water element, Yin energy, associated astrological signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

I’ll not disclose the full background of Alex because he doesn’t want me to 😆, what I can tell you is that he’s seen by most as this happy guy living an apple pie life. But from what he’s told me, deep down he’s not satisfied with his life, he’s always wondering what he could contribute more to the world.
Three of Cups in reverse shows us that Alex has been spending more time on play than work. I was really surprised by this outcome, because Alex is one of the most hardworking people I know! He then admitted to me that he has been feeling unmotivated lately and isn’t as proactive as he used to be. So just like this card says, he’s been postponing project deadlines at work and delaying his personal development as well, he spent most of his free time watching Netflix or sunbathing in his garden.
Taking a break is necessary and healthy, enjoying life is important, while too much pleasure can become pain sooner or later. This card warns Alex that he’s playing too hard while his fullest talents remain dormant and that he shouldn’t rejoice too prematurely. Be careful, not all is well.
We tend to use hedonism as a means to overcompensate deep and internalized dissatisfaction or restlessness, resulting in procrastination and boredom. Alex exclaimed: “it’s so true and it’s a vicious cycle!”
Why do we procrastinate? Why don’t we do things we know we should do? As contrary to common belief, it’s not about self-control or discipline, it all comes down to feelings: we do things because we like it, we keep on stalling because the feelings associated with that task aren’t what we desire. In the end, every problem of self-control is a problem of emotions. To end this cycle, we need to find out what these associated emotions are and the root cause of these emotions, and finally, become the masters of our own emotions.
The magic of feelings needs to be enhanced by the magic of thoughts, words and deeds, once we change the way we view or think of the tasks at hand and start doing it, we are very likely to complete it no matter how much we initially “don’t feel like doing it”. It is not motivation that’s driving the action, it is action that activates the motivation, thereby further fueling the action.
Life will surely become a party if we venture beyond ourselves and learn to retain our emotional independence even in the company of others and under the influence of external factors.
The message for my friend here is very simple and clear. He needs to get over his feelings and get to work, and hustle hard!
And the message for all of us, is to integrate our emotions to become ONE in body, mind and spirit, by defining our boundaries, getting in touch with our emotions and learning to appreciate the feelings of others. This unity will help us express ourselves in the most effective way. You know what they say, the right words at the right time will make miracles come true 😉.
