I was first introduced to crystal grids when I was a kid, I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning, because it seems like you’ll need a lot of knowledge to do this correctly, however as it turns out, you don’t.
In today’s how-to guide, I’m using a career/life-path grid.
Use this Grid: If you’re unsure of which path you should choose, especially in your career life, lay this grid and ask for guidance. If you know which direction you want to go, lay this grid and ask for affirmation, support and strength. If you’re seeking for a promotion, lay the grid before requesting it. If you’re gunning for a new position, lay the grid before the interview.
Timing: ideally at a new moon. After you have received your answer, which should be around the full moon, you can dismantle the grid. Please be aware that you might receive your answer in an expected or unusual way. For example, through the lyrics of a song, or a certain phrase in a book, etc., pay attention and keep an open mind.
You’ll need:
- Template (the layout used here is Metatron’s Cube). There’re plenty templates out there, you can either print one out on a piece of (colored*) paper, or use a board made out of natural material (wood/stone) like I did here.
- 6 crystals** that are compatible with your intended outcome, e.g. money, power, fulfilment. And/or the ability you want to enhance, i.e. confidence, logical thinking, clear communication, etc.
- 6 career/life-path crystals**. Tiger’s Eye, Citrine, Carnelian are all great career crystals. Turquoise makes a good life-path crystal.
- 1 key stone***
- 6 grounding and/or clearing crystals**. Smoky Quartz, Shungite for grounding; Clear Quartz, Selenite for clearing.
- 1 Crystal wand or pendulum (optional but highly recommended, to ensure a clarified energy flow)
*colors matter a lot here. You can choose gold or silver or green for abundance and career growth
**size doesn’t really matter, it’s the intention and energy you put in that activates the crystal grid. However I do suggest to adjust the sizes to your template 😉 (you will see my choices in the step-by-step part below)
***key stone should be bigger than the rest, tumbled or egg-shape works best.
To lay the grid:
1. Clean the space with incense or smudge stick. Hold your cleansed and charged crystals in your hands and state your intention for the grid.
2. Around the central hexagon, lay 6 crystals that represent your intended outcome or enhance certain ability of yours.
3. Lay 6 career/life-path crystals around the outer hexagon.
4. Lay your Key Stone in the center. I’m using Rutile Citrine for obvious reasons.
5. Lay 6 grounding and/or clearing crystals between each of your career/life-path crystals.
6. Move a crystal wand or pendulum from each of the outer crystals into the center, while restating your intention. If you don’t have a crystal wand/pendulum at hand, use your gaze to direct and connect the crystals.
7. Breath deeply and steadily for a few moments, focusing your eyes on the grid, and then slowly disconnect from it. Leave it undisturbed to do its work, until you receive your answer.
8. When you’re ready to dismantle it, remove crystals in the reverse order in which they were laid, thank them, cleanse and recharge them. Cleanse the space where you put the grid, with incense or smudge stick.
